| Since June of 2004, Josh Carples has been a special
contributor to the Capital City Free Press,
specializing in news and political commentary. He was
named the associate editor in July of 2005 and promoted to managing editor in November of 2006. In May 2003, Carples graduated Magna Cum Laude from Alabama State University with a B.A. in Communications, with a concentration in Public Relations. He was recognized as the top communications graduate of 2003. Carples has been mostly known in the Capital City for being a musician. He is the lead singer and guitarist for the rock band Marsellus, and previously fronted the band 12th Hour for just under 8 years. Not just a musician, Carples runs his own web site at JoshCarples.com, which contains news and political commentary as well as links to news sources and political pundits. Because he has an opinion and takes a stand on issues, Carples does not claim to be fair or balanced in his writing. The truth, to him, is much more important than trapping oneself in any side's political ideology. |
