The evolution of The Noise Revival into
The Noise Revival Orchestra Experience is something for the ears to behold as evidenced on their new EP. The eight total tracks are a complete departure from anything going on in the world of music today, blending pop appeal with complex instrumentation and fresh melodies.

A stream of consciousness work, the EP is a follow-up to their debut CD “To the Seven Churches in the Province of Asia.” Released January 25, the new sound will be fully realized on a standard-length CD scheduled for release this month featuring the 13-piece band.

“The Movement,” a dance-like sojourn, is a fun opening. “The Last Breath” provides an almost 80s throwback vibe with a power-soaked vocal. “Le cri d’ouvre le couer…” rides on a majestic trumpeting and emotion-tinged, dueling vocal work. The brass work on “Nous passons par aim…” is an exciting experience unto itself. “Scarlet” (along with its clever remix) is truly haunting.

In a 2005 interview with the Capital City Free Press, Nathan Felix said, “The fun of playing music is creating your own experience rather than buying into someone else's experience they create for you.” This EP is the embodiment of that approach to music. Felix and the band also remain true to their method: “But I write for myself. The writings are influenced a lot by classical compositions and how they flow from movement to movement.”

This sentiment and approach to the music-writing process is readily evident in the new EP, and music-lovers should relish this daring, peerless work.

This EP needs to be experienced - no flipping with abandon through the various tracks. The Noise Revival Orchestra Experience is blending fixtures of classical music with the unique, cutting-edge sounds of the most daring experimental artists. The resulting fusion is audible art worthy of launching its own new movement in the music world.
