| Staff Gather with fellow artists for feedback and innovative ideas during ARTtalk and ARTwalk 2008 at the Montgomery Museum of Fine Arts. The ARTtalk program provides an opportunity for artists to meet at the Museum and offer friendly critiques and helpful advice on their work. ARTwalk offers participants the opportunity to tour an artist’s studio on a Tuesday evening and make artwork at the museum the following Thursday. ARTwalk alternates every other month with ARTtalk. ARTtalk 2008 will be held on the following Thursday evenings: March 20, May 22, July 24, September 18, and November 20. The cost is $20 for all remaining sessions for museum or Art Guild members and $35 for guests. ARTwalk 2008, which includes 12 sessions, costs $90 for museum or Art Guild members and $120 for guests. The dates are as follows: February 26, 28: View the well-crafted metal designs of John Phillips in his downtown studio. June 10, 12: Marvel at the studio and artwork of Marguerite Edwards, one of the area’s finest portrait painters. August 19, 21: Visit the architect-designed barn/studio of Wendy Slaton and learn how she uses color to impart emotional warmth in her paintings. October 21, 23: Learn about hand building with clay in the Deatsville studio of Steven Capelli. December 9, 11: View the unique painted icons by Cathy Chambers at her charming in-town studio.
